Once I actually started to animate the composition for the beat,

I wanted to play on the fact they were actually a really lively

band. Listening to the original version of the song, Smokey

Robinson seems much more solemn. Whereas this band are

a lot more lively. I wanted to show this contrast in the

animation of the type. So as well as using the tear like

movement, I also tried to show rhythm in the words 'the beat'.
